Chlor Pars Company
Chlor Pars Company was established on September 26, 1987, by the Ministry of Energy to supply chlorine to water and sewage companies. Located in Tabriz, the company was registered under number 4489 in the Tabriz Companies Registry. Following the receipt of principal approval from the Ministry of Industry on December 17, 1987, for the production of chlorine, its derivatives, and caustic soda, the project activities commenced. The Ministry of Energy conducted an international tender to introduce a foreign supplier of chlorine and caustic soda production machinery and equipment, resulting in the selection of the Italian company De Nora. The project activities, including construction and machinery installation, began in mid-1993. After overcoming operational challenges, Klor Pars Company commenced operations in the second half of 1998, with the official inauguration attended by the then-President of Iran.
